AIPR (Advanced Image Pair Registration) is a software tool designed to register unordered sets of images in a completely automatic manner. AIPR registration engine utilizes state-of-the-art proprietary algorithms that allow to achieve unprecedented robustness and accuracy in presence of large distortions, scale variations and even across different sensor modalities. AIPR runs on off-the-shelf hardware taking full advantage of multi-core technology. AIPR has a modular design: the back end modules are driven by a convenient, highly configurable command-line interface that allows to register a set of images. In addition to generating seamless mosaics, AIPR also produces detailed logging information for quantitative analysis of the registration.
The pronunciation of AIPR is /'haipə/, like the ancient Greek prefix hyper (ὑπέρ) which means over, above, or beyond.

This way, the newly registered images will inherit the latitude and longitude information from the reference images. There is no need for ground control points. If the images are not georeferenced, geoAIPR is able to utilize a set of ground control points provided by the image analyst to bootstrap the
georeferencing process.
In both cases the final results is the same: a seamless, accurate, and georeferenced panorama that can be imported by all the most popular GIS software suites.
